Dr. Stephanie Wise, DVM & Co-Owner

Dr. Stephanie Wise grew up in Crown Point, IN. She attended Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine where she graduated with honors in 2013. Dr. Wise has a special interest in small animal medicine and neurology. She currently has two cats Nala and Scar and a Dalmatian named Penny. In her free time, Dr. Wise likes to spend time with her husband Tommy and two boys Connor and Ben.
Nicole Schaff, Co-owner & Practice Manager

Nicole graduated from Illinois State University in 2003 with a BA in Animal Science and a concentration in Agricultural Business Management.
Nicole has been in the veterinary field since she was 14 years old and over the years, moved through the ranks of kennel attendant, technician, practice manager and finally to co-owner of Lowell Animal Hospital.
Nicole was certified in veterinary ultrasonography by the Academy of Veterinary Imaging in 2016.
Dr. Kayla Radtke, DVM

Dr. Kayla Radtke graduated from University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2023. She grew up in Saint John, IN. Dr. Radtke’s veterinary interests include small animal medicine and soft tissue surgery. She currently has three cats and one dog: Princess, Pixie, Uno, and Josie. Dr. Radtke also has several aquariums and owns 5 axolotls. Dr. Radtke plans on expanding her pet family in the future to include a hobby farm. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family.
Dr. Heather Grosch, DVM

Dr. Heather Grosch graduated from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2021. She is originally from Cary, IL but now considers herself a full-fledged Hoosier. Dr. Grosch’s veterinary interests include nutrition, cardiology, and soft tissue surgery. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, knitting, napping, and spending time with her husband Andrew, baby Rylan, and two retired racing greyhounds, Rise and Laika, and her cat Moot.
Dr. Cynthia Lopez, DVM

Dr. Cynthia Lopez had a wonderful, memorable upbringing in South Holland, Illinois and moved away from the area in 1983. Her life's journey prepared her to be the veterinarian she is today. She worked as a receptionist at the Iowa State University Small Animal Clinic, as a veterinary assistant at a small animal hospital in Madison, Wisconsin and as an office manager at a small animal hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Dr. Lopez is a proud 1998 graduate of Colorado State University Teaching Hospital. Proudly specializes in dentistry, laparoscopic, endoscopic and soft tissue surgical procedures.
Dr. Lopez is the proud mother of a graduate school bound daughter. She loves to spend her off time with family. Her “therapy” is to spend time sewing and long-arm quilting (which she hopes to master soon). They are a family of 5 dogs, 4 cats, and 6 horses. All the dogs and cats are rescues, except for her golden retriever. She feels the same about her pets as you do about yours. They are family!
Dr. Jennifer Bochnowski, DVM

Dr. Jennifer Bochnowski graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004 and has since worked in both general practice and emergency medicine. She is especially interested in soft tissue surgery and dentistry. She enjoys drawing, bike riding, and spending time with her husband Rob and daughter Jane along with their miniature dachshund Dottie.

Angie has been working in animal hospitals for six years but has worked with a variety of animals since childhood.
She enjoys fishing, kayaking, horseback riding, and many other activities. Angie has a four-year-old son, Hunter, that enjoys animals as well. The many pets that keep Angie and Hunter company are their mini mule – Stomp, chocolate lab – Zoe, their cat – Kevin, and numerous rescue chickens.

Becky graduated from the Vet Tech Institute at Fox College in 2010. She has been a registered veterinary technician at animal hospitals ever since.
She has a love for all things brachycephalic, big or small. She shares her home with her two rescue dogs: Nola, a Boston Terrier, and Darla, an American Bulldog.

Theresa is no stranger to the veterinarian field she has 10+ years experience. She started in kennels and grew a strong passion for animals. It was then she began to pursue being a technician. She loves dentals, taking care of and advocating for pets that can not do so themselves. When she's not here on shift you can find her in the stands at her boys sporting events, volunteering, or curating clothing collections for her boutique. She also enjoys spending time with her husband of 10 years and their fur babe The Gooch!

Paula is a surgical technician here at Lowell Animal Hospital. She attended Lafayette’s Purdue University and graduated in 1995 with a degree in animal science. Paula worked in small animal clinics for 4 years after graduation and then with horses for 4 years. Paula and her husband David have been married since 2000 and we have 4 boys,1 crazy dog named Cooper and a handful of cats.

Sammi graduated from Joliet Junior College as a CVT in 2014 and she is also dual registered in Illinois and Indiana, as well. She spends most of her time with her husband, two young children and three dogs. Sammi has a strong passion for riding horses alongside many other outdoor activities!

Beth graduated from The Vet Tech Institute at International Business College. She has been an RVT since 2008. She has spent most of her career working in emergency medicine. She has a special interest in anesthesia and thrives to provide the best patient care. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and three pitbulls, who love modeling pearl collars for her small business!

Stephanie is a Chicago native that graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale with a BA in animal science in 2018. While in school she found a love for veterinary medicine through working at an animal rescue and shelter. She has veterinary experience in general practice, emergency, urgent care, equine and exotics. Her off days are spent with her many pets including horses, goats, dogs, cats, reptiles and birds!

Melanie grew up in Sharon, PA and graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL in 1995 with a bachelor's degree in journalism. After working as an editor at newspapers in NWI, Phoenix, Dayton, OH and Chicago, she switched fields and received her veterinary assistant certification from Harper College in Palatine, IL in 2011. She has worked at veterinary clinics in Chicago, University Park, IL and northwest Indiana. She enjoys traveling and lives in Griffith with her husband Ernie and their Yorkie Oscar and Norwegian Elkhound mix Mama.

Heidi has worked in animal hospitals since the age of 16. She has held a variety of positions including kennel assistant, tech assistant, and currently surgical tech assistant. She has always had a great love for all animals since childhood. Heidi’s soft spot is most definitely for turtles and tortoises of all kinds! She cares for a few at home that hold a special place in her heart!

Anne graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Animal Sciences and a concentration in Pre-Vet. Anne has been working in the industry for about 6 years with both small and large animals. Her overall goal is to become a veterinarian and is currently in the process of applying! In her free time, Anne enjoys reading, playing softball, volleyball, and hanging out with family. Her dream dogs to one day own are both a Newfoundland and an Australian Shepard!

Sarah graduated from Saint Joseph’s college as a Certified Veterinary Assistant in 2023 and began working in the vet med field. She is now enrolled in Penn Foster College working on becoming a veterinary technician! Sarah has always loved animals and always wanted to pursue marine animals, she has now changed sights and of graduating and pursuing a field in large animals - she loves the idea of working with cows and horses!
In her free time, Sarah loves being outside with her adorable mastiff/lab mix named Remi or laying in bed with her crazy calico kitty Kenzy!

Melina graduated from St. Joseph's college as a CVA in fall of 2023. She has always loved animals, and has had a dream of working in the veterinary world almost all her life! She has a heart for all animals, but by far, has a strong passion for dairy goats.
She raises a small herd of dairy goats and has for the past several years! Most of her free time is spent with her goats, or working on a crochet project.

Her cats provide her with endless love and laughs. As a proud wife and mother, she enjoys spending her free time with them boating and camping.

Desi is a dog groomer at Off Leash. She is a proud mother of three children and a devoted pet parent to two fur babies. In her free time, she loves playing cards, cooking, and enjoying time with her family and friends. She graduated from grooming school in 2022, which fueled her deep love and passion for our four-legged companions. To her each day feels less like a job and more like spending time with friends.

Jordan is a bather at Off Leash. Working with animals has always been her goal, making this position a dream! She is a proud parent to a son and a daughter, and has a dog, two cats, ten chickens, and two ducks! In her free time, she loves discussing all things pets and enjoys taking walks with her children and dog.
