Nicole Giese, BA in Animal Science
Practice Manager - Co-Owner
Nicole graduated from Illinois State University in 2003 with a BA in Animal Science and a concentration in Agricultural Business Management.
Nicole has been in the veterinary field since she was 14 years old and over the years, moved through the ranks of kennel attendant, technician, practice manager and finally to co-owner of Lowell Animal Hospital.
Nicole was certified in veterinary ultrasonography by the Academy of Veterinary Imaging in 2016. She has a 6-year-old rescue chihuahua/pinscher mix, Kylie and a 14-year-old cat, Nora.
Trisha Morgan
Senior Client Support Specialist
Trisha has worked with small animals for the past ten years. Prior to working at animal hospitals, she has played a major role in caring and placing rescue animals.
Trisha has had many great dogs throughout her childhood, her first love Morgan was a black lab. Trisha now has 2 cats of her own that she just adores…Pumpkin – a long-haired calico princess with the attitude to match and Monkey – a tough but silly tabby boy.
Jan Perdue
Senior Client Support Specialist
Jan has worked in the veterinary business for over 20 years.
She lives on a mini farm with two horses, two donkeys, a flock of chickens, six cats and three dogs.
Aside from taking care of her pets, she enjoys gardening and curling up with a good book.
Melanie Gonzalez
Senior Client Support Specialist
Melanie grew up in Sharon, PA and graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL with a degree in journalism. After working at newspapers in NWI, Phoenix, Dayton, OH and Chicago, she switched fields and received her veterinary assistant certification from Harper College in Palatine, Il.
She enjoys traveling and lives in Hammond with her husband Ernie and their rescue dogs, Mama and Oscar.
Angie Koster

Angie has been working in animal hospitals for six years but has worked with a variety of animals since childhood.
She enjoys fishing, kayaking, horseback riding, and many other activities. Angie has a four-year-old son, Hunter, that enjoys animals as well. The many pets that keep Angie and Hunter company are their mini mule – Stomp, chocolate lab – Zoe, their cat – Kevin, and numerous rescue chickens.
Heidi Paul
Senior Kennel Technician
Heidi has worked with animals as a kennel assistant at various clinics for over 30 years.
At home, Heidi has a 9-year-old Golden Retriever named Gracie that absolutely steals her heart! She also has a passion for caring for her many turtles and tortoises which include 2 redfoot tortoises, a pancake tortoise, and eastern box turtle, and an outdoor pond full of aquatic species.
Shana Pinto
Kennel Attendant
Shana has worked in animal hospitals for six years and counting. She spent four years living in North Carolina and moved back to Indiana.
She has two amazing boys, ages 7 and 10, 4 dogs and 2 cats. All rescues.
She’s working on her finishing her associate's degree currently in applied science and aspires to obtain a doctorate in psychology, with hopes to work with military and veterans and their families.
Danielle Von Alven

Danielle began working in the veterinary field in 2012 as an Office Manager. After leaving to stay at home with her now 3-year-old son, she has stepped into her role as Social Media Marketer, handling all forms of Social Media for the clinic.
She resides in Beecher with her husband, son and 6-year-old Golden Retriever, Jersey and Elvira, a 16-year-old black cat.

Brittney has worked in both health care and animal services. Her true passion is working with animals! With almost 7 years of experience, she is excited to further her career to become a vet tech.
She has 1 fur baby at home named Rosie who is a husky/pit mix.
She enjoys fishing, traveling with her husband and 1-year-old son, and spending time with her close friends.

Aubrey has worked in the veterinary field for over 15 years. She has a soft spot for exotics and senior pets.
She lives with her husband, 3 children, and her 5 dogs, 5 cats, 2 pigs, Sulcata tortoise, and her red-eared slider.
Jen Clarke
Veterinary Technician
Jen has been an integral part of our team since August of 2017. She is currently working to further her education through Purdue West Lafayette veterinary technician program.
Jen has a love for fostering kittens in her free time – she has the runt from one of these litters – an epileptic named Peaches, a two-year-old mama’s girl! Jen also has two rescue dogs – a malamute Delilah and a Victorian Bulldog named Tank. She also has Mack – a friendly barn kitty turned lazy indoor cat!
